his life and ministry: “My mission is to come alongside my wife to demonstrate Christ-
like love to her and to enjoy our remaining years together; to come alongside my children
and grandchildren to demonstrate the heart of the Father and to set a godly example that
will inspire them when I am gone; to come alongside the leaders of New Hope to co-
labor effectively in the fulfillment of the kingdom vision of our church; to come alongside
younger disciples of Jesus to effectively mentor them through spiritual direction and
practical counsel; and to come alongside other pastors and Christian leaders to co-
operate with them in kingdom-advancing ministries locally, regionally, and globally.”
